	by Rodna James on 9/25/2008	My review on the Presidents Day lapbook This lapbook was a lot of fun. Kayleen did not think she would like it though at first but it turned out to be really interesting, especially the stories of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. This lapbook teaches what presidents day is and how it came to be celebrated on the day that it is. It talks about the presidental responsibilities and the process of being elected; great for now since the election is going on now. One of the activities is to write a letter to the President and it shows exactly how to address an envelope and a letter, so that is very helpful. It teaches about George Washington and Abraham Licoln's life and there were things in there that I didn't know. LOL It has led to a LOT of other questions. She wants to understand in more detail what a senator and governor, etc. are and what do they do, etc. So it has peaked a further interest! That is always good! It turned out beautifully! Kayleen and I do reccommend this lapbook as a great unit study on presidents day and the lives of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. You will find yourselves wanting to add to the study of the presidents and all that goes along with it. What a great way to put it all together in a lapbook!!! 	by Kim on 2/19/2008	Great any time of the year! Although we did this for Presidents' Day, I would recommend this lapbook for ANY time of the year. My boys (9 yrs old and 12 yrs old) both loved this project, and the project also went well with our following the politics so closely right now. Their favorite activity was writing and mailing a letter to our President.
