Greek and Roman Mythology
Greek and Roman Mythology project pack by Hands of a Child is a great way to teach your children about the influence of the Greeks and Romans on history, literature, art, and music. Mythology is defined, and your student will learn the different types of myths and how they were passed on from generation to generation. Roman and Greek gods are discussed tastefully as well with succinct descriptions written about each one. Following the explanations, there are activities to give the student an opportunity to tell what he remembers from each lesson. The instructions for the different folds and how to place the information are explained clearly so teacher and student won’t get frustrated. I am using this Project Pack to supplement my son’s readings in Age of Fable; I believe it will help him to retain all the information we have covered. I am very pleased with this product, and I will use the products of Hands of a Child again in the future.

Greek and Roman Mythology
Hands of a Child is a tried and true lapbook resource. As a homeschool mom who loves to lapbook with my son, I found this latest lapbook review to be by far the best! The Greek and Roman Mythology lapbook is well designed, informative, interesting and age appropriate.
To begin with, every lapbook is geared for various ages, and this Mythology themed one is best used with students in grades four and up. The wonderful thing about these lapbooks is that there are suggestions at the beginning of the E-book for using the book with various student levels. There are ideas about how to involve a preschooler in the study, and how to create a challenge for your high school homeschooler. This is a bonus for bigger homeschool families who wish to do theme units as a group.
This lapbook begins with defining a myth. This is a fantastic way to be sure that our children grasp the basics of literature terms. Often we assume our child just knows what certain terms mean, and the clear definition and examples in this book are very helpful for complete understanding.
Main characters in Greek and Roman Mythology are defined in specific detail on the following pages. The information is presented in an interesting, yet storybook way, which lends itself to being an enjoyable study. There is a corresponding vocabulary page which is extremely informative. While younger students will appreciate learning the meanings, older children can benefit from looking these words up or using them in sentences. There is also a list of resources for home use, including books and websites. This is fantastic for anyone who wants to take the legwork out of locating the resources needed to teach this study.
Many people find the mechanics of putting a lapbook together a tough task, but you won't have a problem with this one! There are clear instructions for assembly, along with directions and matching reproducibles. There are instructions for pop-up pages, as well as a lapbook base. An example of the final product is on the last page, which will provide inspiration for your child's own creative project.
Completing a lapbook is a joy when using a product from Hands of a Child. You will find it to be an educational and fun experience with your homeschooler.
